My 17 yr. old son was there and he is a TS veteran. He said it was pathetic, no where near the impression we usually make. He has been to TS with SEC rivals and said that is the kind of noise we need when a visitor comes there for the first time. When Gino went under the wrong guy for the snap he said that was decent but he has FELT it a lot worse in past games. His take is with all the bitchin we do about JJ and Miles, we sure let the team down, and they should bitch about us.
Damn, as a visitor from New England, I thought the crowd was decent in the first half and got very frustrated in the second half. I did not notice the 4th quarter exodus all that much as the folks in my section (103) seemed to stay for the entire game. I will say that Tiger Stadium is one of the best places I have experienced from a game day experience standpoint. Very friendly folks at the tailgates and bars and thinking about those "geaux Tiger" chants gives me chills. Or maybe that is from going out in Tigerland post-game . I do have so say that the crowd paled in comparison to the crowd at last year's Texas - Texas Tech game. They were chanting all night. Then again, they had more to chant for given that Colt McCoy was their QB. Watching Jefferson was tough.
there you go tiger fans, how's that for a wake up call??? texas' crowd was better. i think this is what they call rock bottom.
$900 per seat for the "right" to buy said tickets. we have 5 seats. so $4500 is spent before we even purchase a ticket.
This is so damn annoying. If you want to sit go sit at home. In TS get on your feet and make some noise.
In fairness, UT was playing Tech coming off a year where Tech had beaten them. I have no doubt that being in Tiger Stadium for a game against an SEC rival would be amazing. On the standing during the game issue, the folks in our section (103, row 4) stood the entire game. I was impressed at how accepted the practice seems to be; I go to a few Pats games per year and standing draws rebukes from security and other fans alike. Lame.
