Just curious....any WVU fans that attended the game (or even watched on tv) have any comments on the atmosphere in Tiger Stadium?

well, i wasn't at the game, but judging from TV i would say that they didn't get an accurate portrayal of what TS is all about. the fans looked bored most of the game -- and i don't blame them. they were also booing the sh!theaded play calls, not jefferson.

Why did all the fans leave before the game ended? Because of bad play calling?

i was at the game, and must say that was one of the worst crowds i can ever remember.

they never came back from halftime.
still had decent amount of people, but only a couple dozen people seemed to even give a sh!t that the game was still being played.

the "geaux tigers" cheers after 1st downs were non-existent.
the crowd noise to support the D on 3rd downs was half hearted at best.

mountaineer fans got louder than home crowd for a good stretch of the 3rd/4th qtrs even though there was a LOT fewer of them than there was tiger fans.

our offense sucks. not even gonna attempt to sugar coat that.
but goddammit people! our defense is amazing. they are winning games for us.
we should have their backs a lot better than we showed last night.

The announcers made a point of pointing out the fan exodus in the 4th quarter. I think they said 1/3 of the crowd had left.

I lost my voice, don't blame me. I was surrounded by some good students that were yelling all game. It must seem a lot louder in the student section, because Smith had trouble calling plays in the 4th quarter.

Most of the students in the main sections on the other side of the band stayed. Where I was in 235 it had emptied. I didn't notice the rest of the stadium had emptied a bit. It still got pretty loud on WVU's last possession.

I had a few WVU fans comment on how much they enjoyed the atmosphere before and during the game. They were really impressed with the crowd outside the stadium. While it was loud in the 1st half I think the mediocre offensive showing in the second pulled a lot of electricity out of the air.

Wasn't at game either but announcers commented on several occassions about the crowd noise and overall atmosphere...also recall them commenting on crowd being about 60% left in 4th quarter.
