Well, our Black History Month started off with the Black National Anthem being sung on our school tv system, and then the first of 28 great Black Americans honored was....... Michael Jordan.
"On Thursday, the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a California high school’s decision to outlaw American flag T-shirts on Cinco de Mayo." Read more: http://dailycaller.com/2014/02/28/a...ome-mexicans-might-be-offended/#ixzz2udbyOC5O This is just funny.
Sad really, and a perfect thread for the post btw. Don't get me wrong, I love cinco de drinko, it is my favorite holiday of all and I understand why they don't want the kids wearing the USA shirts but that doesn't make it right. We are raising a nation of entitled, spoon fed, thin skinned pussies and it will come back to bite us squarely on the ass.
It's the 9th Circuit, hardly a surprise out here. 43 members and almost 70% appointed by Democratic Presidents. The district is way too big and there are way too many judges. It needs to be broken up, allowing the judges to avoid so many hearings en banc. 11 judges count as "in person"....nowhere near enough IMO. The concept that school children celebrating a "holiday" of another country should have more freedom of speech than Americans showing national pride with a T-shirt is absurd.
I don't think it is "more freedom of speech" I think it is a government/school board thinking they know what is best for someone. If we don't let these obnoxious American kids wear those riot inciting t-shirts then we won't have any fights.
