Re: Rueben Randle I honestly wouldn't say anything to him. They seem pretty sick of the whole thing and I'm sure the last thing they want is another LSU fan pressing them for info or pushing them to LSU. Rueben has to know by know that the best chance for his future success lies at LSU. If he decides to go somewhere else it's his decision and his life. He'll do fine and LSU will do fine with or without each other. If he decides to commit to LSU then both will be better off. PS- Welcome to the forum.
Re: Rueben Randle Supposedly Bama still loves RR, he just isn't as big of a priority as locking down the state talent is for them.
Re: Rueben Randle I think they might have cooled on him because they felt they were losing him to LSU, fwiw.
Re: Rueben Randle Welcome to the board. I think Randle's decision will be his and his alone. It won't be what momma or daddy wants.
Re: Rueben Randle I disagree on his parents being involved. High school kids listen to their parents on big decisions. And rightly so. I bet they will all be glad its over on signing day. At first its fun. At the end they just want it over.
Re: Rueben Randle If it was according to his mom or dad, we wouldn't be wondering whether or not he was going to LSU. We'd know.
Re: Rueben Randle Based on the info I got about 3-4 weeks ago, RR is all LSU and I posted as much as I good to keep everyone for worrying. Nice to see all the info finally getting out to make everyone feel at ease. Can't wait to see him in P&G.
Re: Rueben Randle Im very interested in hearing how his visit with Mac, Stud and Coach Miles went tonight.
Re: Rueben Randle It wasn't the coaching staff per se. It was mainly his position coach McCarthy that he didn't vibe with very well early on. I never put this on the board early on, but I did tell a couple of posters this in pm's. It's not that he didn't think McCarthy was a good coach because he is. It's just that he's going to be spending most of his time with this coach and he initially didn't care for him and it was mainly a regional thing. You have a white guy from the Pacific Northwest, which is already as different as you can get from the South, trying to build a relationship with a black kid from the very rural South. And it's not about race because it would've been teh same thing if McCarthy were black or oriental or anything else. They didn't quite know how to bond with each other. I've heard the relationship has gotten much, much better since then.
Re: Rueben Randle I believe it to be a culture issue. Because a white coach from the south probably would have instantly hit it off with Randle.
