    Re: Rueben Randle

Randle stood apart from the rest of the receivers as far as his strength and how physically mature he looked. Of course he is not polished, maybe he is rusty because he hasn't played WR this year. He probably wouldn't step in and start for us right away, but I can see what all the fuss is with him as an athlete. You just get a sense that he is older than every one else on the field. Bad QB play didn't help him to showcase his talents either.

You are right, he did dominate that game (along with timely running by Scott, Keiland and others). He was 11 for 11 at one point during the game and was getting the ball to differnent recivers, t.e and rbs. If that doesnt attract RR I dont know what will!

They mentioned at the beginning of the telecast that Randle had a hamstring issue all week.

The fact that he played so well is even more impressive in light of that.

If we do lose him for some reason, it would be great if we could back into it with pat patterson. he had a great game in my opinion.

I'm not sure why we didn't go after Patterson, I think he would have like to come to LSU.

Kelly appears to be the backup plan to Randle.

    Things could change.

We went after Pat before he committed to Miss St. after that we just lost interest. My guess is because at the time when he decommitted we had Wooten, Bell, Bumphis, Brown, Randle, and Debose on our radar.

Does Patterson even compare to the skill level of RR and Debose?

Not quite but he is a very nice WR with very good hands. Good height and speed, etc...

If we don't go after Patterson, take that as a good sign. Wink, wink.
