Re: Rueben Randle RR's dad said Randle may not take any official visits to LSU or Bama. That bodes well for LSU IMO. Shows it is down those 2 teams and RR has been to LSU numerous times already.
Re: Rueben Randle You could take it as that or you could be a conspiracy theorist and say that the conversation Randy Shannon had on the radio show was indeed Randle he was talking about. Down to OU and Miami, Xed LSU/BAMA off his list. And hes shown a lot more interest in Miami recently, per his brother.:shock::shock: Probably not much to it but its worth mentioning...I guess... But his dad did say they know everything they need to know about each school, so definitely starting to get down and gritty with a Bama/LSU battle.
Re: Rueben Randle Aaron is having a GREAT time f**kin with everyone in the recruiting world. But truth be told, if he had any of RR's size, he would've been a prized recruit as well. He was the unquestioned leader of that defense and a true football player. You just can't play LB at the next level if you're under 6' tall and under 200 lbs. Mom's side of the family got him! LOL. I felt bad for him when that growth spurt never came.
Re: Rueben Randle There are some people starting to post "positive" things regarding Randle's recruitment (on other sites). Nobody is coming in with specifics, but just things they have heard from people close to the situation. One of the posters is from Bastrop. DandyDon also posted that he feels the best he has ever felt about Randle. FWIW.
Re: Rueben Randle Yea, look at the recent history of Dandy Don's comments on Randle: 11/28 -- The problem facing LSU at this time is convincing Randle that LSU will have a quarterback who can get the ball to him. 12/03 -- LSU wide receiver coach D.J., McCarthy was at Rayville Tuesday visiting with Kenny Bell, and from Rayville went to Bastrop to visit with Josh Downs and Reuben Randle. I was told that the visits went very well. According to what I am told, LSU likes their chances with Randle. 12/04 -- I have five sources for information in Bastrop for Rueben Randle and they tell me that it is not a done deal at all, but they feel like LSU leads for Randle and that is why I list him at 60-40. 12/08 -- As for Rueben Randle, I believe that LSU is in better shape than anyone else but it is far from being a done deal. 12/11 -- I made three calls to get the latest on Randle yesterday and did not learn anything new. Randle is not a big talker, but I have been told that LSU and Alabama are his leaders with Oklahoma also in the picture. I believe that Randle would have already committed to LSU if he felt comfortable with the quarterback situation. 12/19 -- The word I am getting is that Randle...is still concerned about the quarterback situation. ... Alabama appears to be LSU's biggest challenger to sign Randle. 12/20 -- I am receiving very positive reports on wide receiver Rueben Randle from Bastrop. I have not talked to Randle, but I have spoken to a few people who are pretty much in the know and they tell me that LSU is in the best shape they have been in with the nation's top wide receiver. I also think Dandy Don brought up a good point on 12/19 when he talked about our ace-in-the-hole, Shep: 12/19 -- The good news is that Randle and Russell Shepard are becoming good friend and Shepard would love to have Randle as a receiver. The chemistry between Shep and Randle isn't just important for recruiting, but it is also important for the next several years, considering that Shep will be with us during that time. If Randle rejects LSU, he is also rejecting Shep.
Re: Rueben Randle Randle was indeed at Bama practices on Saturday, unofficial visit. Which is still good. As long as it's not official, I think LSU is still good. http://blog.al.com/rapsheet/2008/12/some_familiar_faces_nick_saban.html
