Norwood was recruited as a Safety from what I heard.

    Maybe LATider can confirm?

John is exactly right. Saban just does a good job of keeping problems within the program. He's had problems with discipline everywhere he's been, just like most coaches.

Jeez, is it just me, or does it seem that bama fans cannot find or admit that their coach may not be perfect?

It's because they have been "Saban their love" for him.

because he's not saying anything, makes me think he's bama bound. why else would he not say anything? IMO it's because he knows he's not going here and wants to avoid the backlash. And I agree with most, their shouldn't be any, let him go where he wants.

Of course, I don't wish him any ill will, but I hope he never tastes victory against the Tigers.

    Re: Rueben Randle

That reminds me of an Oct. 28th post I read on Tidefans.com:

If Randle indeed does commit to Alabama (or anyone else aside from LSU, for that matter), I do not expect it to come anytime soon. Any time a prospect as highly-touted as is Randle spurns LSU, they are going to get a tremendous amount of personal backlash for doing so. In Randle's case, it would be like Luther Davis on steroids. As a result, if you are going to leave state, the best idea is to wait until the latest day possible (preferably NSD), so that way you minimize the backlash. If a guy like Randle commits in the recent future to an out-of-state school, the LSU people are going to go nuts on him for the next four months. At the very least that would put him through great personal hardships and will seriously test his commitment to Alabama; at worst it could pressure him into wearing purple and gold.

With all of that in mind, my gut instinct tells me that the later Randle waits, the better it will be for Alabama. If he opts to go the Joe McKnight route and wait until National Signing Day to announce, that may very well be great news for us.

He is being looked at for both WR and DB. However, Norwood's commitment does not matter to Randle or to the Bama staff. Different WR position.

He has not been saying anything from the beginning even before Bama was a factor. That is his personality. He doesn't want to get into the hype because that is not what he is about.

I for one think his personality makes him a great prospect. He is the type who acts the same after a TD, and INT, when he is sacked, etc... He just gets up and plays the next play like nothing just happened.

His brother is quite the opposite and therefore the reason so many rumors have been started IMO.

I reference to the quote, many top prospects wait until NSD. Especially in RR's case where he is just now starting to put all his focus on his future now that his season is done.

    Ray- Opted for baseball
    Hood- Opted for baseball
Jackson- May be moved to DB
    Bowman- May not qualify (academics)

Baseball really hurt our WR position. I think that Destin Hood would have been very very good. This is why we need RR bad.

IMO Norwood will play WR. His yards after catch are very good. He's elusive.
