Then they shot themselves in the foot. I believe, by saying that LSU played "so poorly", that I admitted it was a disgraceful game for the Tigers. Which makes Bama's performance sub-disgraceful. You can put that "National Champions" in quotes till Bear Bryant rises from the dead - but it is what it is. You won't find me minimizing the Bama legacy of #1 teams. And I'm sure I could, if I was petty enough, go find a few of those that came about through factors less related to talent and dominant football than you might like to admit. Bama had a nice season this year. You'll have a nice season for years to come. But if you are fantasizing about any more 7-5 LSU seasons in the near future, you should pay more attention. This season was Bama's best opportunity. They choked. It's all one big dogfight now. Again - it is what it is.

As far as "National Champions", ours was real, no need for quotations.:thumb: Of course, you are bitter after having no Hardware this year, but at least you came close.:yelwink2: Don't flatter yourself, LSU played poorly against everybody this year yet still had to give it away to bama.

The schedule is extremely easy. Anyways -- back to Randle. I'm glad he's an in-state guy.
Re: Rueben Randle Let's look at last year when Saban decided to discipline your best receiver. He chose the ULM game and allowed the kid to run around on the sideline being a clown. This kid was obviously not affected by the decision. At some point Saban looked at the scoreboard and realized he was getting outplayed and outcoached by the University of Lousiana - Monroe and decided to end the "suspension" and allow the kid to play in the game. This desperate attempt didn't work and Bama lost. Your team also quit down the stretch last year so I don't know that I would characterize LSU as a team without discipline. If discipline is a big factor for you, you might want to reassess and make recommendations to your own HC.
