If Randle wants to make a splash then he should be thinking LSU is his choice.

Bama will throw for 150-175 yards and a lot of that will go to Julio. And it's not they don't have qualified WRs waiting in the wings.

Other than Lafell, who isn't even guaranteed of staying on at this point, there is no other WR to take over, although Toliver looks promising.

I still don't see Lafell leaving. Not a single person has mentioned anything about him leaving early. It would be foolish to leave when he could stay a year or two more and be a first rounder. It just makes no sense for him to leave. I don't see it happening.

He wants to get to the next level? Then the answer is clear. I've posted this before, but

    Josh Reed - Buffalo Bills
    Dwayne Bowe - KC Chiefs
    Michael Clayton - TB Bucs
    Early Doucet - AZ Cardinals
    Craig Davis - SD Chargers
    Deverey Henderson - NO Saints
    Skyler Green - NO Saints?

    v.

Matt Caddell - Rams (Not listen on teams roster, but is on wiki)
DJ Hall - Waived by the Giants in August.

Yeah, but Saban is telling Randle about how when he was coach at LSU, we turned out NFL WRs, just like we have been doing under Miles--and how when he was coach at Mich State he turned out some NFL WRs there as well, including Plaxico Burress.

    That doesn't mean he won't.

He even said in an interview earlier this year that he would not go unless he projected in the first round. Something to consider though, is there may well be a rookie salary cap in another year, and I believe the wr class will be bigger next year. Him going on the first day of the draft this year may be the way to go.

Either way, Byrd will be gone, and Lafell at the least the next year. That leaves:

    Toliver - Junior
    Tolliver - RSF
    C. Mithell - Senior
    J. Mitchell - Senior
    D. Peterson - RSF
    Tim Molton - RSF
    Ricky Dickson - Junior
    R.J. Jackson - Senior

    Possible this recruiting class -
    Randle
    Debose
    Benton
    Bell
    Kelly

I don't see RR being scared of the wr corp we have right now or for the next two years. If he is as advertised, I don't see how he stays out of the lineup.

Of course it doesn't but these kids generally listen to where experts project them going. It just makes little to no sense for him to leave.

My guess is that, when he considers who Shep is (team player, play maker, leader, unselfish with football) and the rest of his supporting class (Ford, Pratt, Calhoun, Debose, etc. - Seastrunk next year?!), he'll go with LSU and Les Miles.

    But that's merely a guess.

You have to understand that McElwain wants to throw the ball more but JPW just isn't a good enough QB to throw the ball as much. JPW will be gone next year and yes, we will have McElroy (who wont be freshman--but rather a RSJ) who IMO will have a better deep ball and more accuracy than what JP had this year.

The 150-175 argument doesn't bode well since we have a dual threat (that is more of a pocket passer) that RS this year and AJ McCarron coming in next year. McCarron has a rocket of an arm too. Word around the campfire is that he's trying to lure other recruits that may be on the fence to the Capstone.
