Re: Rueben Randle Haha, USC's Mark Barkley was #1 on the Rivals 100, now he has fallen to #11 because of all the INTs he threw this year. Congrats to Randle, the new Rivals #1
Re: Rueben Randle Dandy Don's Dec 10th update: wide receiver Rueben Randle (6'3", 212, Bastrop). I have several close connections in Bastrop and they believe it is a three-way battle between LSU, Alabama and Oklahoma. Randle wants to attend a school where he can play early and be an instant star. I cannot see Randle attending Alabama because Julio Jones will only be a sophomore in 2009 and will not be eligible for the NFL draft until after the 2010 season.
Re: Rueben Randle I never disagreed with you. He had interest. He wanted to see how senior year went. It went well, but he's no longer interested in QB at the next level. If he still had interest in it I think he'd have good reason to be because he's talented there as well. I also remember telling you he was far from 90% lean to LSU...now look where we are.
Re: Rueben Randle Isn't it interesting how the uncommitted always seem to get #1 status. I'm sure it has nothing to do wit subscriptions or money... Guys, take "stars" with a big grain of salt.
Re: Rueben Randle This is the first time the initial #1 player was moved since '02, and only the second time ever.
Re: Rueben Randle I still stick by my Randle lean, don't remember saying 90% but based on the information I have been receiving from a close source I am sticking to my guns. The source is the same one who told me back then that Randle understood he would not be a QB at the next level.
Re: Rueben Randle Of course -- RR is a special talent though. Stars aren't everything. They also are something.
Re: Rueben Randle To be fair to Rivals, the USC commit has stunk it up this year, so it was more of a puzzle why they kept him at #1. It will be hard for anyone to say they showed favorites by dropping him.
