Man I sure hope Jordan Jefferson has a great bowl game. I think that will erase any doubts about "Who's gonna get the ball to you" that Alabama undoubtedly is telling Ruben Randle.

My Alabama friends have rose colored glasses on when they talk about next year's Ala Quarterback - kind of like most of us felt this time last year. Just wait till their inexperienced QB faces SEC speed. We know better don't we. I just hope Randle doesn't wear those type of shades.

I KNOW you know believe a Saban led team will throw for 300 ypg and average 500 total ypg?

    Lay off the Bama kool-aid.

Yeah thats what I said. Give me a break. The emphasis was on the balance and not being forced to either only run or pass the ball based on the personnel. Obviously not everyone is going to have the best offense of all-time.

Dont you have some predictions to make that arent going to come true?

Fear assimilation by the Gump Borg. Resist at all costs. I've been in the state on and off for over 20 years and its hard not to get corrupted by the Bama hoard.

Couple hints. If you must listen to sports talk, only listen to Finebaum. The rest of the time...Sirius is your friend. :thumb:

So is Bama your 2nd favorite college football team?

I know Tirk has ridden you about your affection for Bama before, but I figured he was just kidding

Tirk never implied they were my 2nd favorite team.

Bama is tied for 6th in my SEC favorites list that I update monthly.

You truly believe Bama wouldnt have a legitimate passing attack if they have a competent QB? Point is I dont understand the posts that keep saying he should choose LSU because of the passing attack compared to Bama's. Bama was third in the SEC in pass attempts last year when they couldnt run and are first in rushing attempts this year because they cant pass. Like I said, any team that runs an offense like LSU, Bama, Georgia, etc. is looking for balance.

Im just trying to sort out some real reasons why he would choose a team, not reasons that make LSU look better.

Realistically, a team like bama with a freshman QB next year will not expect him to put up big passing numbers, so I see them leaning to the run for at least another year before they can expect to be truly balanced.

A December 3rd article in the LSU Reveille quoted Shep as saying:

“I’m an LSU Tiger now,” Shepard said. “I’ll be enrolling in school January 9. I got the official word [Tuesday]. I am ready to go in, get my playbook, learn and get into the fight for the starting quarterback position.”

I heard somewhere that Crowton gave Shep the LSU playbook earlier this year and that he has been going over it with him since, but the above quote indicates otherwise.
