Re: Rueben Randle Obviously. Just saying that people keep trying to sell a point that Bamas offense will be all about running in the future, but it wont look like that when they get the right personnel. Kind of like our passing game wont look like it did this year. Ya know?
Re: Rueben Randle I guess the point I was trying to make was that I dont really understand why Bama would be in the lead for his services and not LSU. He lives in Louisiana, Bama and LSU would be in the same situation regarding the QB position if thats a big concern of his. Or its something that he really dislikes about LSU. I probably didnt make that point clear enough, so my bad.:thumb:
Re: Rueben Randle I gotcha now. Who knows. The current state of the programs (for a WR) are pretty similar right now. I think we are down to splitting hairs but more than likely he will make a decision based on where he is comfortable. Meeting friends on (un)official visits goes a long way and we dont know what that was like for him. Guess we'll see.
Re: Rueben Randle I agree they should get better...but who knows if Shannon will even get the chance to finish what he started. They'll let him slide for a while without contending for a BCS title, but when he isn't winning ACC championships either, the fanbase will eventually dictate a move. I admire what he's done there and if given a chance, he can probably do more. It just doesn't bode well for him to get that chance. Canes fanbase is already getting impatient with him. I agree that Miami has much to offer in tradition and environment, but what about W's?
Re: Rueben Randle I just don't see any other school (on his list) being able to offer him anything that LSU can't. That's why I really feel if he doesn't go to LSU, he just doesn't want to. It won't be because of the program itself. The only issue I knew of for him with LSU was McCarthy(I think that's his name), the WR coach. He didn't care for him too much, but I was told that got a lot better over the last few months. And he's apparently officially, officially done with QB. At the beginning of the season, he had some interest in possibly pursuing that dream, but that's a done deal, even though he had a good year at the position. He told a friend of mine recently that he didn't want to wait 2-3 years to be ready at QB when he could likely contribute at WR right away or at least after no more than a year. His exact words were, "I don't wanna play no quarterback." LOL I'd bet whatever school gets him will incorporate him into some flea flickers or wildcat, errr...wildtiger...wilddog (sooners)...wildhortonhearsawho...wildwind...(lol) formations.
Re: Rueben Randle Thanks. I didn't even know what the hell a sooner was. I knew there's a type of beagle that's called a sooner...
