I'll believe that when I see it, seeing the Miami program up close for the last 4 years, I doubt that he would go to Miami. They have about 6 young receivers most of the freshman. They also have just as much of a QB problem as we do. Both of their QBs are talented, but cant put it together. Also, would RR want to play in a bad ACC. Shannon is a great recruiter, but he is not a good coach. He has turned that program around as far as discipline, but they are far from being elite and one person wont make that program elite. They still have about 2 years to go. I doubt that RR would want to wait around for that. I just dont see Miami, its out of Bama , OU, and LSU.

Having the playbook doesn't necessarily translate to the field. What I meant by that was, a month ago it looked as if Shep would get tossed in the fire by necessity just like Hatch and Lee did because of Perriloux. Now, if Shep gets tossed in the fire it'll be because he earned it. A month ago, many of us would've taken Shep, fresh off a Friday night game, and put him in Saturday for LSU to see what he could do...considering the alternative. Now, most of us would still take him, fresh off a Friday night game...just not necessarily at QB. Jefferson exceeded expectations, and that's a great thing. He hasn't won anything yet, but he's earned a chance to prove himself in the bowl game.

That's what scares me about this perceived love affair with Miami. They're much farther away from dominance than any other team on his list. The ACC is not marquee in many viewer's eyes, but they are balanced. They set the record this year for most teams in bowl games with ten. That's phenomenal. But does anyone see a potential BCS championship for anyone in the ACC right now? He'd be better off at LSU, Bama, or OU. Of those three, if reps is that important to him, seems it should be down to LSU and OU...unless Bama is promising an offensive shift, but I doubt it. Saban is about power football...and if HE gets Trent Richardson (while already having 3 years of Ingram and one more year of Coffee) and Rueben Randle, who do you think gets more reps in that offense over the next few years, especially with a brand new QB? RR may see the field first at Bama, but as long as Saban is around, I hope he knows that Ingram/Richardson are the future.

Miami is a VERY young team, they will only get better. Shannon will have a resurgance, give him time. He has brought back discipline and is cleaning out the U. He brought in a great class last year, many are already playing so this team will improve a lot. Thats why kids want to go there, plus it has amazing tradition. With many former stars returning to mentor current players. Its easy to see why the U garners so much interest. Not to mention South Beach.

Im not at all a fan of the U, but I respect what Shannon has and is doing.

Shannon was talking about Bryce Brown...thought this was too obvious but I guess not.

My question is if thats the truth about Bama, has Saban promised him to change the offense up alot? Because he has Star Jackson who is a running QB, however, my phi who graduted from Bama says Saban is moving Star Jackson to receiver. So Saban has to be selling him a bill of goods on how they are going to change the offense. I dont know this is my speculation. LSU and OU imo the leading schools. I think he falls into a similar situation if Bradford is leaving. I think he leaves if they beat Florida. I think LSU is in the lead with this kid, because alot of the situations at the schools in questions are similar.

    1. Star Jackson is not a running QB. He is a pure pocket passer that has running abilities.

    2. I can promise you this is what Saban is telling RR: They had a pure running OL that couldn't pass block, a QB that couldnt throw, and only one receiver that could get seperation. They are bringing in two tackles that are stereotypical pass blockers, and they will have three pure passers. That Alabama team you saw this is year is not what it will look like when they have a QB that can pass, OL that can pass block, and receivers that can get separation. Saban said a month ago that he would like to be able to do what Oklahoma does -- pass for 300 or run for 200...doesnt really matter. He just wants balance, and they didnt have that this year.

Doesnt matter, I believe what this guy is saying, he ran track for Bama and has many friends on the football team. Like he says there has been enough talk about moving Jackson to WR, also Jackson is a running QB, I saw him play in high school and he can pass as well.

Doesnt matter what Saban is telling him you basically said the samething I said, he has probably promised that the offense will be more balanced with emphases on passing. Les Miles could tell him the samething.

Are you saying he would be better than JPW?
