I still expect Randle to end up at LSU. But our backup plan is a very very good one. That is comforting to know.

I just wish the guys that are 100% LSU would go ahead and commit and get behind the program like Shep. It's helps recruit other top notch athletes. It helps lesser known players at the same positions make their important decisions. It helps the staff of the school you're committing to.

Too many of these guys are worried about their star ranking with the services.

If you know you want to be a Tiger then do your team-to-be a favor and make the commitment.

I understand that and agree but how does that apply to Randle? All reports seem to indicate that he is uneasy with the recruiting process and not 100% behind one school. I want him to come to LSU, and would love a commitment, but prefer no commitment to one that is still unsure and looking.

It's a crazy process to witness as a fan. Imagine what it must be like for a kid that is coveted.

But it should be noted that Miles did a pretty good job getting a lot of big name, early commitments. Something I don't recall happening before. I guess we just can't get them all right away.

At least we have something to talk about, right?

Sure. If the kid is undecided then he's undecided. I'm just talking about if he was actually sure he wants to be a Tiger I would hope he would commit ASAP and help the Tigers recruit.

I am pretty sure Kelly would come to LSU if we lost Randle to anyone, not just Bama.

I think OU is too far for his liking and it is still between LSU and Bama. Still think he is all LSU in the end.

I will go one better. I wish he would commit, help recruiting, report to school now, suit up and replace Byrd in the lineup!

But maybe my expectations are too high?? :hihi:

I'm with you on that one.

Talk about a player falling from grace in just one season.

I didn't see that coming from Byrd.

That kinda thing won't serve him well in the draft.

I agree. Byrd really seemed like a team guy last year. I guess it's easy when you're winning. You what they say about adversity and character.

And thus my comment about his draft stock dropping.

Well except for Cincinnati. Possible 1st rounder, I presume. :hihi:
