You make some good points too Tigerbait3 but I still think LSU is a better choice for a WR, simply because the offense is open more in a spread, as is their recent history with developing wideouts. Even in this "down" year, Lafell is having a great season, something they can leverage towards RR and show that Bowe/Davis/Doucet weren't because of Saban(which he didn't even develop them, Miles staff did).
Re: Rueben Randle Wouldn't LSU's product be more enticing to RR? I mean, what Alabama WRs in the NFL (don't think there are any) have done anything recently? Michael Clayton isn't doing much due to injuries now but was a very productive rookie after being a 1st round pick. Devery Henderson was a 2nd round draft pick, and if he could get his hands in order, he would be lethal. Craig Davis was taken in the 1st round, and Dwayne Bowe was taken in the first round and has really looked to be a solid NFL WR. Don't forget about Doucet. All are NFL WRs. Other than Jones, what Bama WRs have gotten national recognition?
Re: Rueben Randle Just a heads up but on Scout Miami board they're saying Shannon said they were keying in on a bigtime recruit and eliminated exactly the schools Randle is considering and is down to Miami/OU. I wouldn't worry too much about it, I'm sure its just that, another rumor. They're all saying its Randle. Was I the only one that read the article the other day where Randle clearly said this: "I don't know when I'm going to visit Bama but I'm definitely taking a trip to LSU after my season is over" Did one game make him start to hate LSU now and X them off his list? I highly doubt it... Man the rumors surrounding this guy. We'll see what his brother has to say.

Re: Rueben Randle Yup. I didn't really worry about it too much, it went the complete opposite of how Randle's recruitment was going, especially his recent interviews. Just thought it was interesting and I haven't seen another "top" recruit with those schools on his list. I know his brother doesn't tell everything for obvious reasons and a coach is likely to hear more on the situation than some interview. I'm not worried though, I think his recruitment really starts when his season is over.

Re: Rueben Randle I seriously don't know anyone else that is a "top" prospect that fits the bill. But you know how coaches talk, his so called "top" prospect could be someone in the Rivals 250 or a 3 star :lol: I'm sure they think all their recruits are "top" prospects. And that is all assuming the guy didn't make a mistake on the schools the prospect eliminated. Didn't see anything on the paid boards about it today other than that one thread last night. God, I just hope he commits soon and it be us, the suspense kills me.
Re: Rueben Randle Apparently, OU has now entered the picture to the point it is now being considered a 3 way race for Randle. And word it LSU would have a great shot at Kendall Kelly if we lose out Randle to Bama.
