Re: Rueben Randle Quite a few folks in the know are feeling pretty good about this kid coming to Bama. Nothing concrete yet, but with LSU in a state of flux at the moment.................who knows?
Re: Rueben Randle It was a packed game last night alot of ppl had to stand up the whole game on Bastrop side.Zachary gave them so many turnovers. They had fans with Bama and LSU gear on. Really like Zachary stadium except the Vistors' side is not raised up like the Home side.
Re: Rueben Randle  The problem with that is that there aren't 'quite a few folks' in the know. I definitely think Bama is a contender. Perhaps even 50/50. But he's a quiet kid and nobody really knows anything about where he's leaning atm. I won't be shocked if he goes to Bama or OU. I'd love to have him here.. but he's not a must-get. I'd trade him for a hotshot linebacker any day.
Re: Rueben Randle No news is simply that -- no news. It's not good nor bad. Look at Julio Jones for Alabama.. rumors running rampant and he was quiet until signing day.. ended up in his home state.. imagine that. He'd be a huge pickup.. but if we don't get him it's not the end of the world. We don't 'need' him by any means.
Re: Rueben Randle We dont need Randle as far as his position is concerned. We need him morally though more than we need any recruit in this class. He is the top player in the state and we cant lose him to Bama. It would be a moral blow to lose a player like Randle, especially to Bama with the season LSU just had. The biggest fear of Saban is that he starts pulling players from La that LSU wants. LSU needs this fence around La more than ever right now if LSU is to stay near the top of the college football landscape because we are a year or two away from being in contention again(hopefully).
Re: Rueben Randle I'm tired of people saying we don't need a impact player like Randle. We need him, period. How do you know he won't come in and be such a impact player that he'll break Freshman records at LSU? I bet you'd change your tune then. Regardless if hes a need or not, he seems like a natural leader that puts it all out on the field, something we definitely need. It would be a huge blow to lose the top LA prospect to another school, especially after the moral spike LSU fans have had this season. Losing Randle would be a stake in the heart for Louisiana. Not the end by any means but a HUGE loss regardless how you see it. At some point, when doesn't losing the top prospects that you don't need start to become needs? If LSU was to lose Sentimore, Jackson, Randle, Bell, Broadway, Reed, don't you think that would start to have a profound impact on the program's future? Randle is not Tolliver, hes a much more polished prospect. He could probably come right in as soon as he gets the playbook down and start immediately for almost any school.
