Re: Rueben Randle If Benton isn't rusty which I don't believe he will, he may not redshirt as well.If people remember if it wasn't for his grades many thought he was the top WR coming out his year. Don't sleep on him.
Re: Rueben Randle With only Lafell being a solid WR going into next year, it's really wide open as to whom will step up as a #2. Toliver probably will, but even that isn't guaranteed. We should have Lafell, Benton, Randle, Toliver and Tolliver as our major contributors in the passing game.
Re: Rueben Randle Deangelo Peterson should be in that list as well. He was very close to receiving playing time this year do to the way he played in the Spring.
Re: Rueben Randle I'd imagine Chris Mitchell will remain involved in the passing game--possibly as the 3rd option.
Re: Rueben Randle Ah yes, Peterson. I can't believe I forgot all about him. He will be a good one. Experienced Lafell Toliver Mitchell Inexperienced Randle Tolliver Peterson Benton I fell pretty good about the WR spot next season.
Re: Rueben Randle :geaux::crystal::helmet: Would you add K. Bell and Tim Molton to the inexperienced list? :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:
Re: Rueben Randle Wouldn't be a bad idea to try to Kenny Bell and maybe even Chris Tolliver on D. Kenny Bell is probably the most likely redshirt between the probable incoming receivers. Maybe they can use that redshirt year to evaluate him at corner. I know we figure to get much better at corner as well, but Bell is one of those super athletic kids who may not see the field at receiver for some years. I think next year has to be the year Terrance Toliver steps up as well. It'll be now or never for him since he will be a 3rd year "true" junior. With only two more seasons of eligibility left, it's time to find out what you're gonna get out of him. If Randle commits, and Benton qualifies, with TT already there and Mitchell, Tolliver, Molton, Peterson there as well, LaFell might say hell with it and go to the league. His stock may not get any higher than after this year when he might go first round. He might go mid-first if Crabtree stays at Texas Tech...which I seriously doubt.
Re: Rueben Randle im not woorieds about tolliver im pleased with his play he doesnt drop balss he goes into traffic and takes the big hit especially with lee hanging him out to dry over the middle so much. i do believe he needs to be played on the outside more and byrd needs to be put in the slot so we can get him matched up on linebackers more....we need more three reciever sets
