It sounds like Rueben wants to be a Tiger all they way..Dad has an issue with LSU for some reason? Friction? That needs to be dealt with on a heart to heart level... In person is best. If his Dad wants best, he needs to let his son play for the team and coaches he feels most comfortable.. If he is getting pressured from Mom to stay close and OU for playing time from Dad, then that is a mess.. Isn't Norman a long way from Bastrop? I think Dad loses out on this one...No matter how much he influences, the Boy is going to get his way.. OU wasn't even on the radar until this so called friction I have a feeling it is coming from outside camps
:geaux: Hope RR will go to the college of HIS choice and not where Dad wants him to go. After all, Reuben will be the one going there for three or four years. Again, hope Mom and the rest of the family can prevail upon Dad that Red Stick is the best place for Reuben. :LSU231:
my 2 cents: i highly doubt rr's dad is being that big of a factor -- as in being extremely adamant about it. maybe if it was reported months ago but this far in that doesnt happen. has to be multiple things messing with his head. i believe people blow things out of proportion to justify what should be happening in their heads. could be wrong.
Their was a rumor awhile back that RR's dad didn't like Miles very much. And the guy on here has said they've had friction with a couple assistants on LSU's staff. I get the feeling he doesn't like the LSU coaching staff. The fact OU entered hard late in the process and how his dad treated Stoops leads me to believe he has been favoring OU. What happened I believe, is RR made his decision, dad didn't like it, now hes trying to point the negatives of LSU out to him. This is really terrible if its another one of those parents that take control of their son's recruiting. I know hes trying to protect his son but if RR and the rest of the family are deadset on LSU...get over your tantrum and honor your family/son's wishes...
:geaux: Wasn't Stoops in Bastrop for an in-home with RR just a couple of days ago? Probably got Daddy Randle all stirred up with stories about Bradford staying, etc. Only problem is that Bradford is probably gone after next year, then what? The picture looks better long term at LSU with JJ and Shep.:thumb: Hopefully RR will see the light! :LSU231:
If Reuben is comfortable with the idea of coming to LSU, then let it be. I am sure he would like his family and buddies to watch him play in person. If he is as good as advertised, he will shine regardless of the competition. Heck, it is even more intense competition at the NFL level. How good is Sonny's batting/betting average?
If the elder Randle really IS concerned with LSU's depth at WR, then maybe he should have as much faith in RR as the LSU fan base does. Most of us believe he'll start and get plenty of playing time as a true freshman....maybe Mr. Randle should too. Have faith in your son. He is the best WR in the country. Support his decision to play for LSU.:tigereye:
Not that KK has anything to do with the NCAA link  but, KK has a bad injury (hernia) and locals here think he is Clemson.
