I'm with you man. I hate to see in state talent leave but I don't think our program is gonna fall apart without Randle. He's just a friggin' receiver and right now we've got some pretty talented ones. If he doesn't want to be here then I say like George Jefferson, "Let the doorknob hit ya, where the good Lord split ya!"
So his dad said at first he was told he'd compete with TT for #2, but now will compete with Benton for #3? I don't get it. Who told him what, and why would the coaches tell him something different? This must have been a recent development given the sudden dark light it now casts LSU in. Especially odd though is that when you're closing out such a huge recruit why would you downgrade his chances of seeing the field in his eyes? This makes no sense. Why tell him different in the first place, and why right before NSD tell him something that would dampen his view of early playing time? Doesn't sound like smart recruiting, and that isn't indicative of how this LSU recruiting staff works. Perhaps if his dad truly said that, it is simply a smokescreen or an out for him to go out-of-state, because it doesn't really add up.
Was the interview live, do we know for sure It was done a few days ago, it could have been worked out, and the radio is just lots of play on it? I know at one time the interview was delayed (didn't happen as planned per fox) Can someone please post the recorded version if you have it I would really appreciate it Thanks
RR family has handled the whole recruiting process with class until now in my opinion. If this was something that was said it is obviously just miscommunication. I hate to be so upset about the situation but no player is above a whole program and should be realized. He should not be worried about competition if this is the true complaint. For this to be said one day before NSD is a copout in my book.
:geaux: This will be the deal if in fact he leaves. Maybe they are setting things up for a jump out of state. Maybe not. Total BS in all respects anyway. Bottom line is I'll be glad if he signs with the Tigers tomorrow but if he doesn't, no problem. If he wants to be at LSU fine. If not, TIGER BAIT!!!!!!! There ain't no middle ground here.:thumb::LSU231:
Funny because his Channel 8 Monroe interview from a few minutes ago specifically stated he was anxious to compete against already established receivers. What a crazy day.
