This is bizarre. Im really beginning to think my boss new what he was talking about when he said Miles was screwing up with Randle. It may not have been Miles per say but Alabama was getting word from Randle's family there was issues. However, at least from Alabama's perspective, their coaches were told everything was settled. That may have been code to tell Bama they were eliminated. Either way there was obviously some legs to what I was hearing.
I dont think it was a screw up. We have Lafell and Toliver, after that the its up in the air, who gets the third and fourth spots. I know D.Peterson will get alot of PT, but with the talents of Randle and Benton, either of those guys have a shot at those spots. I believe Miles has been straightforward with both of these guys.
I still think he is coming here, but then again I like to remain positive, but if he doesn't come here he's probably going to Oklahoma, Bama shouldnt even be mentioned anymore.
And if it is true that Randle did not want to come here because of competition mainly Benton, then I'm going to take the kid who is up for a challenge every time (Benton)
Not what I meant really. I don't doubt that the father said that on the air, because it has been replayed and heard. I just found it funny that other news reports were rushing to use quotes they did not get, but heard in another interview. I guess this kid Randle is really a big deal after all.
I heard the last half of the interview on the local radio show "Fox and Company". It was Rueben's dad. He said the following: "One time, the LSU coaches told him RR would be competing with T Tolliver for the #2 WR position". "Then, they told us later that we'd be competing with Benton for the #3 WR position". He made other remarks like- "If the coaches will lie to us now and Rueben's not even on campus, then they'll certainly lie to us later." When asked if LSU had been eliminated, he said, "Not completely". None of it sounded good. Mr. Randle kind of had an angry tone. After hearing that, I don't like our chances. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
