    Bhelm, how sure are you that Oklahoma would be the other choice? It will kill me if we lose Randle but it will make me have to stop following recruiting if he goes to that SEC West team. I have a huge exam tomorrow and I can't study because I keep checking/waiting on someone to say this is a bunch of BS.

    I don't know the guy on TD said its true...and he works for the media. Hes reported on their multiple times. I don't think hes lying. Maybe they feel Miles and staff lied to them outright about his position on the team.

    Anxiety attacks anxiety!!!

    :lol::angryfire

    I'm sure Dmitch got about 50 million text messages by now. Except, its going to be hard to debunk a local media source. Maybe the Facebook thing where he said we'd be disappointed is starting to come around.

    Very confident that the other choice is OU.

    I just hope people are happy with what is already an EXCELLENT class of talent, with or without Rueben. Of course he would be the biggest signing of the class, but he won't instantly make it a bad class. What I fear will happen, is IF chooses to go elsewhere, some of our great fans will get angry and vilify (in the dictionary between vagina and vomit) the kid just because his heart was elsewhere.

    FWIW, I spoke with my buddies on the BHS coaching staff, and most of them would honestly be surprised if he doesn't choose LSU, and especially surprised if he chose Bama.

    BUT if given a choice between RR and DLo, it would be RR all day every day. There is not a significant talent difference between the two, if any, but the things that stats don't measure, such as character, morals, likelihood of getting caught with weed, etc. are off the charts in difference. Not saying DLo is a bad guy (or that RR is such a great guy, even though he is), but RR at 18 is MUCH more mature than DLo at 21.

    Hopefully, LSU has a chance to help turn both of them into very wealthy, very responsible MEN.

    Man, I knew they couldn't keep it a secret. You know, the word that Chavis wanted to make him into a linebacker!! :cuss:

    Add to the fact that Benton could leave only after one year at LSU for the NFL draft and with grades being a concern for him this could likely happen if he has a breakout year.

    1-2 years with Benton
    3-4 years with Randle

    Damnit Chavis, not a good way to get started off with LSU fans! We finally were going to fix our LB problems. :po:

    What the hell could you say to the #1 WR recruit in the nation that could be construed as a lie about his position on the team?

    I think anywhere he chose to go, he'd be expected to make an immediate impact simply because of what Julio and A.J. Green did this year as true freshmen. Most scouts mention RR in the same company. We're going to find out if those two guys raised the bar or simply proven themselves to be anomalies in college football.
