Re: Rueben Randle Toliver, Deangelo Benton, and Deangelo Peterson.. along with a few others all disagree. They haven't 'proven' it like Julio has.. but at least 2/3 of them will be studs imho. More importantly for Bama.. is replacing those tight-ends. They're far more valuable to your passing game than having another great WR.
Re: Rueben Randle Is it just me, or does anyone else get the feeling that when the Bama fans are posting about Ruben Randle, they're not trying to talk to us ... they're trying to talk past us to Randle? The only things they've been posting lately are reasons why RR should go to Bama. And every post seems to deal only with the idea of overcoming the objection of why it would be a mistake for RR to play second fiddle to Julio Jones. Not one of them tries to overcome other objections... like how inexperienced Ala is going to be at QB... or how are they going to solve the OL problems that Utah exposed. I just see a lot more lobbying than discussion going on. With RR visiting Bama this weekend I'll just sit back and wait for all the rumors that we were warned not to take seriously to start now. By the way, is there any truth to the rumor that Julio Jones is transferring to Jacksonville State to play with Perrilloux? (just kidding:lol.

Re: Rueben Randle Going to put my 2 cents in for this but I think Lafell coming back actually helps LSU's chances with RR. Not only will TT/BL take pressure off him but he can also learn under BL next year. They are very similar receivers, IMO. I'm guessing BL will be a All-American next year, who better to learn under than that? Regardless, RR won't ride the pine, I still stand by my statement, I think hes the best receiver in Louisiana since Reggie Wayne. He'll have a impact similar to JJ. He may not get 1000 yards like JJ did his Freshman year but his impact will be felt.

Re: Rueben Randle Not much on this on the pay sites yet. Only a few of the recruits who were on campus with him today. Nothing too special from the comments so far. I have received a few calls today saying everything is still looking very good and nothing has changed. Bama would have had to hit a complete homerun to hurt our chances and that doesn't seem to be the case. That is all I can really say at the moment. I would say Bama is the biggest threat just based on distance.
