Actually, there is a big-time recruit I can think of who played things just as quietly. Joe McKnight.

Yeah, but Julio hasn't thrown out a team or a set of teams yet. When asked who texted him the most he said Central Florida. And he said he would give them a shot. :lol:
He sure did, and it's widely speculated that he knew he was going to USC all along, but didn't want to upset the home crowd any earlier than he had to. I'm not saying Julio Jones is thinking the same thing, but if you're looking for precedent in a big-time recruit being very very quiet, the precedent is Joe McKnight. If I was Bama, I would take his quietude to be a discouraging sign. It's not the end of the world, but it's discouraging.
It's not really speculation. Pete himself said that Joe had commited the summer before his senior year. Julio appears to just be a really quiet guy who keeps things close to the chest because that's just his personality. I don't think it has anything to do with where he's leaning. I have heard he's very high on Florida St though.

No he isn't the best in the world but he has experience and is only a Junior this year. Already he has set the school record for passing yards and pass attempts, tied the record for touchdowns and finished third in completions. Last season he finished the season with a passing efficiency of 128.92, completing 198-of-346 passes for 2,539 yards, 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Hardly bad numbers as a sophomore... Also, Bama will lose their top 2 recievers in DJ Hall and Keith Brown after the season. Julio wants immediate PT. Hmmm....
Everything Ive come across says JJ is a Bama lean with FSU as a long shot. Then there is us. But we all know anythings possible when were talking about 17 and 18 yr olds
Bob Barker Wilson? neva heard of him...Im not gonna speculate about his college decision, unlike all the Red 1st down 2nd down 3rd down Eleapunts. And like CParso said, he's keeping a tight lip on his favorite schools.
