With all the talent we get at the wide receiver position, and all the talent the state produces at that position, I just don't see us needing another school's castoffs.

WR recruiting is going really well with the Best of the Best prospects. I Like our chances with a number of guys, starting with the top two JUCOS...Carl Moore, and Corey Surrency. I think we need to do a little work on Josh Jarboe, and Chris Tolliver. There is also a guy, I never heard of...that is a 4-star WR with us in his top 5, Joe Adams. Joe said that he like LSU growing up, but that it wouldnt playing into his choice of school. and the top of the heap is Julio Jones, I think we have a legit shot at him, But Saban will break all the laws in AL to get his verbal. If we land 80% of these guys we're after, and Scott at RB. We will finish top 5 recruiting class easily.

Every indication is that Tolliver will be a Tiger. I don't think we're recruiting Jarboe hard anymore.

Of course I say that & then read an update about him half an hour later where he names us as one of his favorites...

You gotta watch the numbers game though. We have two WR commits already, and we all think Tolliver is a lock and that DeAndre Brown is almost a lock, plus we'll definitely make sure Jones has a scholarship available unless and until he tells us for sure that he isn't coming here. If you're also pencilling in Darren Thomas as a wideout (premature, IMO), that doesn't leave a lot of room for these other guys like Jarboe, Surrency, etc. We can't take 8 or 9 wide receivers.

I think that you drink the most purple kool-aid than anyone else on this site...lol

Very doubtful that Julio is going to LSU. I doubt you are really even on his map. I'm not saying Bama will land him either....but if we do it's probably because we broke the rules blah blah blah...

If Bama lands Julio and Star Jackson to an already decent class......

    Well, you know...:thumb:

It's a long shot but we definitely are on his "Map". Would be a surprise to me but not so remote that it can't happen.

I think you jumped one too many stumps, and hit your Brain multiple times. If you knew anything about Julio....you'd know that he lists LSU in his top schools on Rivals.com and Scout.com. Also he's made close friends with Jamarcus Russell, and you can bet Russell is telling him sign with a Pro Style Offense with great depth at QB. FSU,LSU,UF have better shots at signing Julio that Bama. And for good reason, there's no one to get him the ball in Bama. And that wont change for at least 3 years.

Dont let Bama fans tell you where Julio is going. He is tight lipped as a recruit has ever been. Bama may get him, but they have no basis for thinking that. He is without a doubt seriously considering LSU.
