:geaux: I think it was the earlier comment you made about all our WR's leaving after "that damb Benton bailed". Think that was it. Anyway, I think that's what has a few folks upset. :LSU231:
For everyone's information...All of the Auburn fans in B'ham (and talk show hosts) that were besides themselves about Auburn getting Benton this morning are now concerned that he can qualify, get (and stay in) in school, and play. Funny how things change in a few hours. If RR's dad did pull this, it is wrong and put our coaching staff in a very bad situation. However, I don't fault our coaches for taking RR over Benton it that was the case. I don't fault them at all. BTW...Bell just committed to Alabama. Oh well. Geaux Tigers!!!
The problem is, this is not the first time you've insinuated that the Benton situation was Benton's fault. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that maybe you haven't read any of the replies posted in other reads disputing that theory. Unfortunately, DLo has to take the lump for this one and it is not deserved. But I, and several others, have spoken with him today and he's in much better spirits now than he was this morning. He's been encouraged to leave it alone and don't get involved in a pissing match with anyone...be it LSU or elder Randle. He's still in a good situation, and he knows that, he just doesn't like having to take the blame for a bad situation he didn't ask for. I'm glad most posters wish him well. In a strange way I'm glad for him because I think this could serve as motivation to him to keep it together off the field so he can excel on it. I was really worried about LSU coddling him because he needs to be held responsible if he screws up.
