The problem is Benton doesn't announce til noon and Kelly at 2 PM. That's who he would supposedly be basing his commitment on.
I think we actually need him more than some give credit too... He supposedly has 4.3 speed and we don't have any young receivers on the roster or anyone on the WR depth chart right now that has that speed, period. TH and Calhoun? I'm not sold on Calhoun sticking in the slot. I think he gets moved to CB/PR/KR. CT, KB will be our only true slot receivers next year. DC isn't a pure slot receiver right now, IMO. KB was probably thinking the most before Debose committed, I think that made him start to look around.
Is Benton still noon if they moved the press conference up for Randle to announce on ESPN? Either way, he doesn't have to sign on the 4th and could hold out as long as he needed if another team is holding a spot for him. Not saying we are losing him but the option for him to wait and see is there with no limitations in doing so.
