Re: Kenny Bell is a TIGER! Im not a big fan of our no visit policy since every other school allows them. I'd hate to lose a WR because he wants to make sure he is confident about the biggest decision of his life. A lot of players are pressured to commit so they have a spot -- just let them look around if they want to and dont make them have to break ties with the school.
Re: Kenny Bell is a TIGER! I agree to some extent but it is not as strict as it seems. Bell was most likely told like many of our commits to not commit until they know for sure and ready to stop taking official visits. Even if they do commit and decide to visit later, the staff will grant them permission to do so which could have happened in this case. Not much different from Saban's rule of "if you shop, we shop". Miles seems to have the front end discussion with upfront honesty and Saban discusses the same either when they commit or when they decide to look around.
Re: Kenny Bell is a TIGER! I was mainly talking about his. It's not that big of a deal usually, but some want a spot in a class so they are pressured to commit - and it causes problems down the road. Jut let them commit even if they want to take visits...my two cents.
