Possibly. Not saying its what CUM is definitely doing, just saying I wouldn't put it past him to do it. Hes not dumb, especially if a big prospect like this agrees to it.

And no, I can't see the picture.

Whatever Debose decides no one can say he handled the recruiting process poorly. He saw all the schools of interest with enthusiasm, made strong relationships, and always acted respectful and appreciative.

LSU has done enough and then some to get him signed and we will just have to wait until NSD to see where he ends up. This battle goes way beyond this weekend. I feel like he is all LSU right now but I wouldn't be surprised to see distance become a bigger factor as NSD approaches like with many of these kids.

This blurb about the first day of practice makes it sound like the Florida boys are feeling a lot of state pride:

    THE FLORIDA CONNECTION

With the [Under Armour AA] game being held in the talent rich Sunshine State [Orlando, FL], it should come as no surprise that many players from the state of Florida are on the rosters. A closer look at the rosters, however, reveals what a talent-laden class it is for the state. The Black team is especially loaded with local stars. It seemed that every time a big play happened, it was by one of the 16 Florida natives on the 40-man roster. Whether it was wide receiver Nu'Keese Richardson of Pahokee, safety Ray Ray Armstrong of Sanford Seminole or one of numerous others, the state represented well. They have also seemingly developed a bond whether they are on the same team or not. While the entire Southeast, along with Texas and California, has a strong presence at the game, nobody matches the depth of Florida.

Just so we can quash any rumors, here are the main points:

    1) He has visited LSU several times, all but once was ON HIS DIME
    2) He loves McCarthy and respects Miles greatly
    3) He wrote a freaking term paper on Les Miles
    4) His interview was very telling this week as he spoke a long long time on LSU while appearing as if he was reading from a script when speaking of the other schools (and it was quite brief on all the other schools)
    5) He has said on more than one occasion recently that his outright favorite was LSU
    6) Russell Shepard is joined at the hip with Debose and he has been by far his favorite target in practices this week

Certainly is entertaining to say the least. Well, with Debose and Campbell I should say.

RR is beginning to bore me with his recruitment

I kid, I only say that because I think we have RR all but locked up now. :thumb:

Rivals loved Debose's speed at practice:

WR Andre Debose, 6-0/170, Sanford (Fla.) Seminole

You can't say enough about Debose's speed. While his track speed is well documented, it really translates when the pads are on, something that is not always the case. Debose is also comfortable catching the ball and has good ball skills. Debose is a smaller framed prospect but has a build that should allow him to add just that little bit of mass that will ready him to take a college hit.

    Re: Andre DeBose

Then the next day, Rivals is already comparing Debose to Percy Harvin:

Super speed and quickness, good hands and the ability to beat a defense a variety of ways with his versatility and play making ability. ... Debose can impact a game similarly to Percy Harvin. He could easily fit into any type of offensive scheme at receiver. He has great natural ability and is a threat to score from anywhere.

But they did say he "needs to get stronger."

LSU might have someone who could make that happen...

I believe an article came out like a year ago where a recruit came & said that Meyer had him do that same thing...
