Re: Andre DeBose Here is what Debose had to say about his final 6 teams: (please notice the other 5 teams got tidbits of accolades thrown their way, and LSU gets a book written about them...hint hint) Florida: "With Florida there is a lot of opportunity there with players leaving, Percy (Harvin) leaving. With Tim Tebow, I don't know if he is staying another year or what." Georgia: "There is a lot of opportunity there as well. Coach Richt told me I could start as a freshman if I come in and work hard. With a lot of these schools there is an opportunity." Florida State: "They are a program that just won their bowl game big. (Christian) Ponder is playing great. They have a young offensive line. Florida State is looking good for the future." Miami: "I always kind of liked Miami. I have always been a 'U' fan with the players that they put out into the NFL. I have always shown them some love." USC: "They kind of speak for themselves. It is a great place. I haven't visited it yet but I want to visit." LSU: "There is a lot of opportunity there. They are coming off of a national championship. They are putting together a real special class with guys like Russell Shepard going there and a lot of other good players. It can just be a great place. Me and Coach McCarthy, we have a real good relationship in the recruiting process. We kind of look eye-to-eye."
Re: Andre DeBose Just watched an interview they did with him at the practices, and I got a few tidbits: 1) He looks up and to the left when speaking about the 4 other teams in contention (Miami, Florida, Georgia and LSU)....supposedly this means he is "trying to remember but is being honest" if you believe body language experts 2) He looks dead straight ahead and seems very comfortable when speaking about why he likes LSU 3) The only time he spoke of the coach recruiting him was Coach McCarthy 4) The interviewer asked point blank if LSU fans should have a reason to get excited and he said "yeah they should", kinda reluctantly saying it because I don't think he wants to let the cat out of the bag 5) When asked if the commitment would be "solid", he kinda hemmed and hawed a bit before finally saying that yes it would be solid, although he would take visits to Miami, USC and Florida. All in all, great stuff for LSU fans. He will be a Tiger in the end.
