Sixty five years old. I have seen and attended many LSU/OLE MISS games. I have seen some fine ones. I have seen many really, really good LSU teams. My Tiger friends, I think you have the best I've seen in my lifetime. Even one of the best in decades. My heartfelt congradulations to the Tiger nation. I will be pulling for your Tigers as if I had been raised Chinese Bandit. :geauxtige STARTED THIS JUST TO SAY CONGRATULATIONS ON THE "CLOSE" WIN AND GEAUX TIGERS..............FROM THE OLE COL
Thanks col. Did I ever send you that book, Meat Market, you wanted to read? I know it's on my shelf but I've mailed it and had it returned to several so can't remember.
That's perspective that is well appreciated. You have seen them all, even the 58 team when you were just 12 or so. Old enough to understand the game of football I'm sure. Really glad you posted that. You, my friend, are the classiest rival poster we have (and we have lots of good ones).
Thanks reb. I was born three years after the '58 NC and for a while I didn't think I would live to see LSU win another. I've been blessed to see the Tigers win two. Now I want to see a perfect, undefeated season, something else I've never experienced as a Tiger fan. That would entail three more tough games but this team can do it. Even if they lose a game, this has been the greatest season in my lifetime and I could never be disappointed in this group of players. Win out or lose one...it's been a great ride!
I was 11 when we won the MNC in '58. I think the Sugar Bowl game against Clemson was the only game televised on national TV. What a difference 50+ years makes.
Great Class and a great fan of the game! Love it Col --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=30.070083,-95.535040
Well well well it takes a humble man to admit when his team is bad and LsU is good. I take my hat off to u. I know Archie Manning is on the BOD that picks the next coach and he will no doubt select a fine one. I wish Nutt would have had a few more years to try an make it work. He seems to be the only coach to even challenge the great les mile I even think he has a better record head to head. Your team will rise again it might take a few years but hang in there old friend. Good luck!
