If I'm reading that right on the ESPeeeeN site ... Ridely has 967 yrds. .. meaning he'll only need 33 this saturday to pass 1000! Pretty impressive.
Given that most of those yards have come when the box is stacked and our opponent knows we are running the ball, that is DAMN IMPRESSIVE!!!
So awesome to know we have a workhorse to rely on. He's been real fun to watch this season. And he'll be back next year!
He's a great kid too. Anyone catch the interview with Tracy Wolfson after the game? Very well spoken and down to earth.
Yeah, I didn't hear the interview, but by all accounts he's a really good guy. Kind of like Russell Shep, or JJ, or Kelvin Shep, or Patrick Peterson, or any of our kids, really. So glad we get to enjoy the best of college football while still maintaining our integrity and avoiding the worst of it, ala Auburn.
Very, very happy for this young man. Honestly, I thought he should have gotten more carries this year. The guy practically falls forward for six yards nearly every touch. I realized this weekend that his running style reminds me a lot of Clinton Portis. He's almost never completely upright when he runs. He's always leaning over or off-center, breaking a tackle or about to run over somebody. And he has incredible balance, which enables him to keep trucking after getting hit. He and Portis always look like they're about to fall over when they're running, yet somehow manage to keep barreling along. Here's to hoping he's our next 1,100 yard rusher come Saturday night! :LSU231:
You really have to give him props, especially since our O line isn't the best we have ever seen. Granted most of our O production has come from a run game by necessity, but still it does take a ton of talent to overcome some of the deficiencies that exist to put up those types of numbers. :geaux: :LSU231: Great job Ridley, Geaux Tigers!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for all you do for the Tigers:tigereye:
