This was posted on DandyDon a couple weeks ago: "I have been told that all of LSU's allotted tickets have been designated to season ticket holders and that LSU's request for 7000 additional tickets was denied." If this is true (which I believe is), Washington made a VERY foolish move. Why would any program coming off an 0-12 season deny any ticket request? ....especially when they are charging the ridiculous amount of $70 a seat? Did they anticipate selling out a stadium of $70 tickets to a team that hasn't won a game in two years (2007)?
There were plenty tickets available online and that's where many Tiger fans found theirs. There were even ticket and hotel packages available. Anyone that wanted to go should have been able to find tickets. http://www.stubhub.com/washington-football-tickets/washington-vs-lsu-9-5-2009-759473/ http://www.buybettertickets.com/ResultsTicket.aspx?evtid=1003149&event=Washington+Huskies+vs.+LSU+Tigers
I don't exactly recall anyone saying that tickets were hard to find? There are plenty of tickets still available. The title of this thread is "Wow, LSU vs UW Is Not Sold Out" The comment was: "Why would Washington refuse to honor LSU's request for more tickets?"
that's what i want to know. and $70 a ticket? :hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: really now? i think i knew (somewhere in the back of my mind) that they were $70, but really? for an 0-12 team? they should give tickets away. :thumb:
I know it! We were kind of hoping that with a bad product UW Athletics would lower prices, but they have continued to raise ticket prices to ridiculous levels even while the team was losing! And we (Husky fans) have to donate hundreds of dollars per seat on top of those ridiculous prices in order to get decent seats! o: It's not too late, come on over!!! (But be prepared for rain in what will probably be a dank, dark, soggy, bone-chilling night -- welcome to football in the Northwest!!! :yelwink2 -
Aren't some of these tickets that are left of the "obstructed view" variety? It would really be a beotch to travel that far to sit behind a pole.
