You know, there was a time when LSU would sell out a 70,000 seat stadium. Does anyone know if the USC vs Ohio State game is sold out? And yes, I know that if this game was at Tiger Stadium it would be sold out. I'm just fooling with you all...
It's not LSU's fault. Unfortunately, we have had such pathetic coaching and our fans are so discouraged by the teams of the past few years, that the stadium was emptying out before halftime. With the economy, they aren't paying good money to go through that again. They are giving up on Husky football. o: 2008 was a very bad year for Seattle sports. Fans are shell-shocked and battle-fatigued. The Huskies were 0-12; the Mariners were the first MLB team to have over 100 losses with a team salary of over $100 million; the Seahawks were 4-12 breaking a string of 4 division championships and lost their coach Mike Holmgren; and the Sonics just disappeared. :angryfire Then, of course, there was the economy (where among other things, our big bank, Washington Mutual, just disappeared) o:, but that's another matter. But things are looking up in 2009! opcorn: opcorn:opcorn:opcorn:opcorn: opcorn:opcorn:opcorn:opcorn:opcorn: opcorn:opcorn:opcorn:opcorn:opcorn: .
hate to give the buckeye more ammo, but we havent sold out a few games in TS this year. Tix are still availble for Vandy, USL, Tulane, and LaTech. To counter this info, i present the following beautiful pictures
any team no matter who isn't expected to sell out after going 0-12. no matter who the opponent is especially when the opponents' fans have to come from thousands of miles. LSU will be more than well represented considering the travel.
lsu sold all of their alloted tickets. you dont 'spect us to do fill up the whole place do you? at least not on this short notice. they shoulda told us their fans couldnt handle it and given us more tix when we had time to make travel plans.
I know the initial post was just for fun, but you are right. I requested more tickets than LSU was able to give me. Had UW been smart they would have given us a couple thousand more. That's guaranteed $$ at $70 a pop.
yeah, i was saying it sarcastically, but i was half serious. if they had alloted lsu more, i think they would have sold.
They actually had to use TAF priority points for a cut off. They didn't even have to do that for Mississippi State.
man, you guys are on to something here. i know a LOT of people who would have gone to the game had they known that tickets would be so plentiful. since LSU sold out of their allotment so quickly, a lot of people assumed it would be hard to get tix and opted out of taking a chance. i know of at least 10-15 people who seriously would have gone and about a hundred or so more who are probably just using it as an excuse. but jeez, i guess UW doesn't need the money.
