I don't see any threads entitled 'OSU is an imposter' 'OSU will lose by 988 points against this superior SEC team' 'OSU is too slow to compete in the game .. is this really a civilized board ??? Nice ! glad I came by.
with pretty civilized with a few exceptions, glad you feel that way. stick around, we've got lots of buckeyes that showed up. :tigereye:
glad to have other fans wanting to talk fb and not smack. now if you could just teach civility to some of your own kind, it would be appreciated. http://www.tigerforums.com/tigers-den/64390-coach-les-miles-against-his-long-time-hated-foe.html
LSU has played many teams close this year. I would love a blow out but I don't realistically see that happening. I think Florida hit you guys with a perfect storm last year. I wouldn't bet on us doing exactly the same thing, regardless of what the press says. Don't they always set up a David/Goliath sort of matchup? I guess the actual game is not dramatic enough for them, it has to be interjected by the press.
If any LSU fan goes into this game niave enough to think OSU is just going to buckle because their lifetime bowl record vs the SEC is 0-8 is ridiculous for thinking like that. Miami was supposed to destroy OSU a few years back and OSU ended up winning the game. If LSU comes into this game as lethargic as they have the second half of the season, they may be going home with their tails between their legs. With this said, I believe Les Miles and the Tigers are going into this game knowing they're playing a great team who has something to prove from last year and they'll be like a ravaged dog in a corner. I see a tight game that could go either way. Miles will have this team ready but the better team always wins.
Amen!!! I feel like tOSU is going to come into this game with greater desire and determination that last year. They are Hungry!!! Our Tigers will come healthy and ready to play. We are HUNGRY!!! tOSU will tackle well. They will run the ball hard against us. And they don't mind punting and playing the field position game. Our Tigers are tough, battle tested and believe that this is their destiny. Sounds like a fun physical ball game. I hope each team brings extra medical help, and they're full compliment of players. :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux:
Welcome aboard Buck. OSU will be fired up for this game. They want respect and everybody has talked about how great the SEC is the weak schedule of OSU. They will want redemption for themselves after last season. I am worried about several factors on the LSU side: 1. Our QB Flynn has shown some inconsistent play in the 1st half of several games. I think momentum will be important just as it is in every game. If our QB play give OSU momentum we may have issues. 2. Our DL is a concern. I wonder if Dorsey will be 100% and they pass rush hasn't been that great lately. They need to pressure OSU QB. Also the OSU OL is very good. 3. What will our DC situation be like and I think that will be an important issue for this game. 4. I'm worried about our OL because the OSU DL is very good and the LBs you have are great and speedy. I think with the inconsistency of our OL, I beleive Flynn will see some OSU pressure. Hopefully they can give him time and hopefully the OL can help the running game get going. Concerns about OSU: 1. Steady and consistent QB from what I've seen 2. Good OL that opens up running lanes for Wells, who is severely underrated IMO. 3. Great LBs and the DL is very good. I think it will be a good match up. 2 very good defenses that are some of the best in the country. The fear I have is the inconsistency of our QB at times and of our defense at times.
Two excellent teams, two excellent coaches. Should make for an excellent game. Ain't that excellent? :milesmic: :geaux: :geaux: :milesmic: :geaux: :geaux: :milesmic: :geaux:
