Also, why do ESPN, etc always refer to the AP #1 as #1 since AP is irrelevant. They've even got me doing it.
Wouldn't it be nice if we had beaten 3 top-25 opponents away from Tiger Stadium, and were ranked 1st or 2nd nationally? Man, that would be super-awesome.
Some old schoolers still regard the AP as being relevant. Honestly, do any of them mean **** except for the BCS rankings? When do they come out anyway?
Yet if at season's end, the AP decides not to make the winner of the BCS championship their #1, people call it a split championship. Doesn't quite seem right.
