Was looking at the preview for the upcomming Kentucky game. We are pretty heavily favored. Wouldn't it be nice if CLM cut loose, and let the offense run up the score, run up the yards, run up the passes, etc .... to improve the offensive stats. Not that the stats mean anything in the end, the W/L ratio is what determines who is the winner ... but, dang, I get sick of the talking heads talking about our ho-hum offense, as if they are just a bunch of nobodys. I mean ... the only reason some of the stats look the way they do is that LSU hasn't played a bunch of pansies, where we could run up the score. I"m sure Kentucky would think it nice at all ... but dang, ...
Actually, to the contrary, several analysts have been speaking well of our offense and J. Lee. Particularly the vast improvement they have seen in Lee from his difficulties during his freshman season. I think a lot of folks, who really understand football, can see that we have a much better than average offense. It just isn't flashy, and honestly it doesn't need to be.
Wouldn't it be nice if we were older Then we wouldn't have to wait so long And wouldn't it be nice to live together In the kind of world where we belong You know its gonna make it that much better When we can say goodnight and stay together Wouldn't it be nice if we could wake up In the morning when the day is new And after having spent the day together Hold each other close the whole night through Happy times together we've been spending I wish that every kiss was neverending Wouldn't it be nice
I don't think we'll 'let loose'. There are still a bunch of tough conference games ahead. Wouldn't want to show our full hand until we have to
I’ll take this offense with 4 wins, 3 against ranked teams on the road, over the #1 ranked offense in the country with a loss right now. I think that the LSU vs. Oregon game shut a lot of people up. You will always have your nay Sayers and always have your LSU & SEC haters. Like I have always said, I'll take our big wins and trophy case with 2 crystals over their hard drive full of highlight reels any day of the week! This offense is improving not just every game, but every snap! Jarrett Lee is looking more and more dangerous. Ware & Ford are running with more and more confidence. For the first time in years, I am confident in our offense. I will stand and argue with anybody, I don’t tense up when I see Lee drop back to pass. I get excited now, I expect it to be a completion. I see him release the ball like he knows where it is going rather than tossing it up and hoping his receiver makes a play. This is a GREAT TIME to be an LSU Tiger and LSU Tiger Fan right now!!
Ah - "Pet Sounds" - Brian Wilson's amazing arrangements and the mellow Beach Boys vocals. Doesn't get much better!
