hell and no. I agree perple, they are a pretty miserable lot. I don't post over there but from time to time, I admit I'll check it out to see if there's anything of interest. It seems like the majority of the time it's a pissing contest or flaming a poster who asks a question that is "Germans" to the 20 or 30 regular posters. given, I think TF can get close to that edge at times, but I think the members here are responsible enough to police themselves and keep things at a reasonable level of conversation without going too far. We have a fair amount of fans from other schools who post regularly and I think it speaks volumes for both them and the members, respectful and spirited dialogue is commonplace. I think a good percentage of the people that post over there are not happy unless they are baggin on someone else, whether it be recruit, player, coach or another poster...really, they take it to a completely different level.

Have you watched Blackmons or Fordhams film? I haven't seen Blackmon.. but Fordham.. I hope he explodes in college. The word 'depth' is thrown around quite a bit. I trust our coaches evaluation though, they see something.

Blackmon was a bit of a shocker especially considering the DTs we had on board.

I have an account there also, but like razer, I just check to see if there's anything interesting from time-to-time.

TF might be in slight decline, mods seem to let much more slide. People can't have an opposing viewpoint without getting condescending smart-ass replies, especially if you're not into the clique-ish thing they got going on.

Of course it could just be my closed-minded/hard-headed self, I currently have 14 posters on my ignore list.

I have no one on my ignore list because I believe in everyone's right to express themselves whether I agree with them or not. I also don't give a hoot about the number of posts someone has because it has no relation to insight. I disagree that there is a clique mentality here at all. As far as smart a$$ comments go I think this site has absolutely the most respectful atmosphere.

If I'm on your ignore list, I hope someone who's not lets you know what I think.:hihi:.

Edit. LSU fan71, I see I'm not on your ignore list. Thanks

I get a laugh out of people who put so much stock in star ratings...

One of the best pure football players in recent history at LSU and a fan favorite....

    Jacob Hester...

    He was a two star...........
Oh and Xavier Carter a 5 star....

I wasn't trying to be a ass...I'm just saying those guys didn't impress me on film.

Obviously, I'd love to see them explode but I stick by my original opinion...until they start showing something, it wouldn't hurt my feelings to see them find a new home. That is probably why their rankings are so low...but I'm ignoring that completely. If I really questioned rankings, I would be all over questioning LSU's decision in getting Lavar Edwards a few years ago...but I didn't because I knew about him. All I have to go on these guys...is the limited film I see...and trusting the coaching staff.

We're too stacked in LA this coming up year to put bottom feeders for depth on the team. I singled those guys out because they didn't show anything on film that made me go "wow". Not saying they're going to be filler guys for depth because I obviously don't know for sure...maybe I should word it better next time. But we do joke about some of those things...I know sarcasm is hard to read on the internet.

Equally so...if their is a guy with all world talent who isn't busting his ass on the team...they need to be shown the boot too. Simple as that. The program could really use some open ships next year...and I know of a few guys who have terrible attitudes but I'm not going to start rumors going...just take my word for it, I've seen it with my own eyes. LSU doesn't need to kneel to any one player.

The overall attitude of the team I've seen this year and last actually bothers me...despite us having a solid year. But I'm not going to get into that.

Just stating my opinion...sorry if I offended anyone.

Incredibly strong relationship between recruiting rankings and success.

I would go look at Fordham's new film. He shows great upside when he is blocking and he plays stronger than he looks. We need guys like that who can come in and develop. He has the frame and technique to be a good one.
