    I'd love for LSU to have an NCAA ice hockey team (there is an NCAA Div-1 hockey team in the South -- University of Alabama-Huntsville).

    The University of Alabama-Huntsville NCAA Div-1 hockey team began as a club team in 1979. They joined the NCAA in 1985 and won Div II National Championships in '96 and '98. They moved up to Div-1 in 2000. Last season, they made it to the NCAA Tournament, getting knocked out in overtime by #1-seated Notre Dame (who ended up going to the Championship Game).

    Their current roster has 20 Canadians and 7 Americans (2 from Ohio, and one each from Georgia, Texas, Calfornia, Michigan, Pennslyvania).

    Their big wins so far this season were a 4-1 victory over preseason #18 Harvard and and a 1-0 victory over currently-ranked #17 Yale. They were competive in their losses to preseason #5 and currently-ranked #11 Colorado College (losing 0-1 and 2-5).

    Also, I'd like to have a shot at beating down teams such as...


    Notre Dame -- currently ranked #1
    They have never won a National Championship (they made it to the Championship for the first time last year and lost).

    Michigan -- currently ranked #8
    They have won nine National Championships ('48, '51, '52, '53, '55, '56, '64, '96, '98)

    They have never made it to the Championship.

    They have won six National Championships ('73, '77, '81, '83, '90, '06)

    We would not be able to compete in D1 hockey, ever. If anything bring us D1 Lacrosse or Soccer or something like that.

    Not no, but HELL NO! Hockey sucks. Extract your two front teeth, grow a mullet and take that crap to Canada.

    only if they put out an EA sports NCAA hockey game. other than that, no.

    Hockey works best in cold-weather states where kids are born playing hockey.
