Leaving Boise to come to Baton Rouge. I Think he is the best coach for LSU out there right now. (If Les Miles takes the UM job of course)

Believe I mentioned him when all this stuff started.

    Spurrier........too old.

Davis.........no guarantees he wins, having problems now.

    Tuberville...........Nick Saban Jr. (personality wise).

My ohter choice, STEAL Chizik from ISU............he doesn't coach
    defense like Pelini.

    THis is all IMHO.:geauxtige :thumb:

One of the biggest unknowns about Peterson has to do with his family. He has a child that is dealing with a serious illness from what I understand. From the way it was described he has a agreement with BSU that they will "take care of" any and all medical bills he incurs while he is the HC there.

I'm not saying any other school wouldn't do the same thing. I am saying that both examples would weigh heavily in a fathers mind.

If that is the case he may also have an incentive to look elsewhere. Besides a similar arrangement for medical expense, the possibility to move where the University has a Medical School would be an incentive. We all also know that coaching jobs that offer the big payday don't come around often. If you can double or triple your salary a lot of additional security for your child's long term expenses can be covered. Folks only love you when you win; if he can find a university that would embrace the situation and pay the dollars, it would be his duty to make the move. Feels strange to say that in this day of hucksterism and agents (on both sides).

Peterson could be a guy with the long term answer we are looking for. I don't see him coming in here and winning 10 games the first year or anything, will be hard to do for anyone with all we are losing next year, but he is a great motivator, and always has gameplans that give his team a chance to win.

Spurrier is the short term answer, but he wouldn't be here more that 3-5 years should it come to be.

I heard someone the other day on one of those college football shows say that he thought Peterson would be outstanding at a top level program.
    Would'nt be a bad choice.

I would like to announce Les Miles IS the coach at LSU. I'm not just wishing, either.:thumb:

Jason Garrett would be gone in 3 years...to coach the Dallas Cowboys. Waste of time.
