QB play probably won't be the reason we win because Les will definitely try to ride the running game, but it could certainly be the reason we lose. One of the two will have to be at least semi successful throwing the ball or we lose.
See that's gotta be the encouraging part, he has shown a willingness to yank either or when they are fucking up.
You're right it will take 8 completions and 2 int's! That game had nothing to do with jennings, they won inspite of Jennings.
Goddamn right he did. Was the ball going to read the defense, make a check, and either pass, toss, or hand off itself? We get it … you don't like Jennings. Well, people disagree. Jennings is 7-1 as a starter on a ranked team with a loss to the #1-ranked team and a victory over the #3 team. We do have a young quarterback that is 0-1 and I hope he is ready when he gets his next chance.
Once again......those 7 wins are because is so great at handing the ball two the backs and letting them do their thing....not because of his drop back ability to pass the ball .....that's all I'm saying.
I understand. What I'm saying is that he is also doing important jobs that quarterbacks must manage beyond simply passing the ball. We do need more consistent and effective passing. We could use a young Archie Manning, but we do not have one. And it is possible to succeed without one. Mostly, there is no need to vilify this young quarterback for what he is not, when he ain't doing all that bad with what he has got. We are not going to have a losing record this rebuilding year during the strongest season ever seen in the West Division. We can actually finish ranked and go to a major bowl.
Nice read..... Harris sends a message 21 minutes ago LSU freshman quarterback Brandon Harris has gone through the ups and downs of being a freshman in the SEC, and while most feel Harris is the future for the Tigers, the present has proven to be Anthony Jennings, a sophomore who is now 8-1 as a starter in purple-and-gold. In the past week, rumors have spread that Harris could end up looking elsewhere if he doesn't take over the starting job this offseason, but the freshman quarterback squashed all the chatter with a message on Twitter Tuesday morning. Harris posted a picture with LSU offensive coordinator Cam Cameron titled "The Greatest..... Taking notes and learning is all part of the process!". His hashtag - #4yearsjourney - also spoke volumes to any doubters in his plans for his future in Baton Rouge.
