I've come to expect you to whack me for the things I write, but now you've placed my name on SabanFan's posts and WHACKED ME ANYWAY!! Damn Red, your a tough hombre!!:rofl:
I don't think I would call mark to market obscure. It just means you value an asset based on what it's currently worth rather than the value you booked it at.
I don't have to search far. I don't know a single person that is out of work that is seriously looking for work. I know a few that are living paycheck to paycheck, but it has always been that way for them . . . even though their paychecks are big. You seriously underestimate the people who thing that the last republican administration WAS FAR WORSE and they don't want any part of any more of it.
I am sometimes incompetent with the cut and paste thing. WE STILL MISS THAT MULTI-QUOTE FUNCTION, BRETT!!!!
I've often said on this board that GW was the worst president in the history of the U.S. That's right even worse than the peanut farmer. However Obama has him beat. Sooner or later libs are going to have to stop blaming Bush for everything bad in the world and start looking in the mirror. Not every conservative politician is Bush reincarnated, just like every Dem in years to come won't be an Obama clone. If Obama plans on running his 2012 campaign against GW and promising hope and change he's going to be in for a surprise. Sooner or later he is going to have to run on his record and that could get ugly for him.
I believe it's too early to say the "current" Congress is the worst ever. I believe the last was easily the worst ever to date. Unfortunately some of the worst remain (Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Schumer, etc.) so it won't have a chance to be a good Congress but it won't take much to be better than the last. The partisanship shown duing the debt debacle was/is ugly but at least someone stood up and said we need to slow this train to nowhere from continuing full steam ahead. That move alone will allow this "current" Congress to rank ahead of the last. If the Democrats would shuffle their deck and replace Reid and Pelosi as the leaders...I believe we may have a chance to make a little progress. Short of that I think we're just treading water.
