The difference in the Archer and Hallman classes are these: 1st Louisiana from 1986-1990 had little or no talent. Not one player that signed out of state in those years made All American The tow main in state recruits lost were Michael Carr and Baron Jackson. Its hard to recruit with prop 48 just hitting and Louisiana in the longest drought in Louisiana recruiting history. Then look at the Hallman years: Louisiana has 4 years running of top talent and Hallman doesn't even get 50% of who LSU recruits. The list of players that sign out of state and become All Americans is a whos who of college football. While Hallman recruited better players than Archer, the talent difference is night and day on the total.
