Utley was safe but it was a wash. Phils got a DP on a 1 hopper into Howard's glove. Yankees would have been up 4-1 and had 2 on with one out.

Admit if LaSalle, you love that the Yankees are in the series. Do you care anything about the Phillies? The Yanks being there gives you somebody to root against. You love them being here as much as I do, just for different reasons.

The New York Yankees are the straw that stirs the drink

    maybe for LaSalle.
but for me, I'm a baseball junkie, so I would watch no matter what.

Once Boston is out, I just root for good games.

Won't be upset if the Yanks win it.

I do wish Philly were going with a 3 man rotation though.
Would be nice to see Lee vs C.C. two more time before the season comes to an end.

both "blown" calls were really, REALLY close.

not one sane human can honestly say that they were anything but an wrong call on a bang bang play.

without the benefit of slow mo on my 42" HD, I may not have known either call was wrong.

No one should ever expect game officials to be THAT dam good. Cause that will never happen.

I fully agree but one cannot say the Yankees benefited from one call without mentioning the one that helped the Phillies.

    correct.

Yanks would have had 2 men on with only 1 out if called correctly.
Phils would have man on 3rd, man on 1st with 2 outs.

lots of potential for both teams to score in those situations.
who knows what could have happened.

Don't forget that the Yanks scored, or would have scored, on the blown play call.

Looks like there may not be enough money out there for the Yank offs to buy another championship.

Next year they will buy Carl Crawford and Roy Halladay. Really ridiculous.

    Phillies in 6

Your envy is showing. Sucks for you. Maybe your poor unfortunate team can get some Obama money. You know. Share the wealth.

I don't care anything about the Phillies, but i do now. I may come out and say that i like the fact the Yanks are in the series if they lose. But sadly, i cannot stand them, i hate the Yankees, i hate the pin stripes, i hate the bronx. Mickey Mantle, Lou Gherig, Joe Dimmagio, Roger Maris, all of em, can go straight to hell. I wont say that about Jeter though, because of that play he made at the plate against the A's in the ALCS, cant remember what year that was. If Hitler fielded a team consisting of himself, and the entire SS, and played the Yankees, i would root for Hitler. The Yankees represent everything that is wrong with the world, and if it were up to me they would go 0-162, but it may be nice to see those stupid New Yorkers think that something was taken from them that they were owed.
