i caught the end of the game on fsn south. i was surprised that i got it because last nights men's game was blacked out.
the men's game was regional, but I am pretty sure the women's game was national, which means that every FSN was carrying it, so that's probably why.
Great win by the Lady Tigers. These girls are growing up fast (nearly all freshman team). This win should help immensely in getting them into the Tourney. They could get themselves into the Sweet 16 if they continue to improve. Would be a nice consolation to a somewhat disappointing year and something to build upon. Look for them to be top 10 ranked headed into next season.
they are a point guard away from being something special. they have 4 other players who can score (something they didn't have any of the last 5 years), but they have trouble getting into their sets. If they can get progression from their current PG's or recruit one, they will be dynamite next year. They have to finish strong to even make the NCAA Tournament, though. 1-9 against RPI Top 50 and only 13 total wins don't help you a ton.
Here I am! I haven't been around the boards much lately, but I'm THRILLED to see this thread. Yes, a wonderful win and a great tribute to assistant coach Bob Starkey's wife who has/had breast cancer. I'm headed to Athens to cheer on the ladies vs. Georgia. Geaux Tigers! What a great year to be an LSU fan!
