Dandy Don mentioned UCLA coach Nikki Caldwell who had the Bruins in the NCAA tourny as a 3 seed though they were bounced in the second round. I like..... UCLA coach Nikki Caldwell bio Might she be interested in a return to the SEC?
Here is my pick. [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mickie_DeMoss]Mickie DeMoss - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] She has SEC success at UK, left for personal reasons. Now back at UT as an assistant where under Pat Summitfor the 2nd time, so has learned from the best, imo. Plus she is from LA and went to school and played at LA Tech.
sounds like she had some success at UK, then had a Pokie like abrupt ending. gotta wonder what was up with that? can you say red flag? why in the heck would Alleva force out a coach who had finally developed a team of his own if he did not already have someone in mind/ready to take the helm? Edit: I am referring to DeMoss
I dont see red flags w/ her. for the simple reason that she had a job w/ 4 months. I have family that is UK fans (wife's side) and the biggest thing they heard up there was she was unhappy w/ the way the womens team was treated compared to the mens. She had been a UT so you can see what she is talking about, cause there the womens team is the top program.
well, i don't want to get into too much of a debate about it, but I have issues with someone quitting b/c they don't like the way the program was treated. seems like the best way to improve that is to keep winning and build respect over time. now, if she was just unhappy overall, the Kentucky area was not her cup of tea, she really wanted to be in a geographically different area, family problems pulled her away, etc, I would understand that a little more.
