You are right. This loss is the equal of the Jan 1. 1960 Sugar Bowl loss for the national championship against Ole Miss, also a rematch.

We had a young team. All the awards and post-season acclaim got to their heads and they got humbled pretty well by a veteran Bama team that came ready to play 'big boy football'. Everything this 2011 team has accomplished has been wiped out. All the awards, all-americans, and even SEC Championship means nothing now. It is on them to fix this mess and redeem themselves next year. We might need to address the offensive coordinator issue in the offseason too.

I'm a broken record by now. We had little to gain and everything to lose. Playing a team we hadn't played before would have had me saying we have everything to gain and everything to lose, but not in a rematch like this. Bama is the first non-confernece champ since 1936. Something ****ed up about that. Thank the BCS. After all these years, it's my turn to complain about the BCS.

In terms of expectations and national perception, it damn well was. Les Miles is once again a national joke. This was a meltdown of EPIC proportions. WTF? We embarassed LSU and the SEC with that offensive performance. And by we, I mean Les.

Sorry for the typo it was late and I wasn't seeing so straight.
It was similar to this year. We were #1 Ole Piss was #2 and after the season the Sugar Bowl set it up. They wanted another Halloweeen classic. The LSU team voted against playing but of course were over ruled.

I can see this being the worst loss ever. It was on the biggest stage. The team didnt show up at all. LSU is now the butt of jokes. Bama came out with a total break from tendencies, LSU never recovered or adjusted. Their lines once again, out played ours. Nothing was done to change the poor game plan. Not to mention the sticking with JJ.

When you dont even get 100 yards in a naitonal championship game thats a HORRIBLE loss. LSU looked like it didnt belong in that game.

WHile I dont think Miles is THAT bad of a coach. He has out done Saban the previous two. This game looked like the previous few years. Stick with the same plan with now room for adjustments. I was really happy to see things change this year with the play calling. Id regained faith in Miles. But after this game Ive lost it all. It was a blunder on Ole Miss proportions.

I could handle a loss, but not this loss. Had LSU brought it, then fine we brought our best but it wasnt good enough. With the lack of focus and adjustments, I cant handle the loss. Its just like the previous few years.

Last night was an embarressment to LSU. The players certainly share in it. They showed no heart. IMO LSU was too cocky for its own good. Hence the slow starts the previous two games. Its just Bama was too good to overcome it. THe D was tired and the O didnt make any adjustments.
