that may be the worst half of LSU football that I've seen. And I've seen a few games. No emotion, absolutely pathetic special teams play, lackluster and at times sloppy defense, and a blah, generic, plain vanilla offense. If we don't get our act together in the 2nd half we may get beat.
CO......I referenced the play of the Tigers in this game compared to that North Carolina game some years ago. Very similar as far as the expectation of the Tigers to have total domination, and not follow through. Both games were wins for the Tigers.
Tre White's return was the only bright spot in what was one of the most pathetic special teams performance I've ever seen from LSU.
definitely not the worst and was completely expected. r e l a x this is prime example for people who believe these 18 yr olds magically get excited when they put on the jersey. this shits like a job. some days you just cant flip the switch. gonna be a struggle all game, we just need to get out with a W. i typed this at halftime. forgot to hit enter. this is what i call a sleepwalk game. going thru the motions, penalties all over, half assed performance. we have a few of these each year. all good teams do.
Could this possibly be the most undisciplined LSU team ever under Miles? Damn sure trending there. Probably the thing that bothers me the most. We will lose games cause of it if shit don't get cleaned up.
@tirk Agree totally. This was a 1500 mile trip to play a Saturday morning game against a Big 5 conference opponent who, frankly, was better than anyone was giving them credit for this week. I, for one, did not expect us to cover the spread. And yet, take away the penalty that negated the Fournette touchdown, and the no-helmet penalty that gave SU a first down and eventually a TD, and its a 24-point game.
So 14 penalties, that's just par for the course for teams that travel? Next time I need an excuse for something I'm coming here to ask y'all what I can use.
