Being undefeated and knowing we're a cinch for the National Championship game makes this game/title a bit anticlimatic to me. Spoiled would be a good word, I guess.

Not for me. A Nat'l Championship wouldn't feel right without the SEC title in hand. I believe the team feels this exact same way. You'd hate to win the NC with UGA being able to say that they had taken you down first. This will always be the "play-in" game, to me.

Just think though... Beat Oregon, runner up last year, beat Auburn national champ last year, beat Alabama national champ 2 years ago, beat Florida national champ 3 and 5 years ago, play the national champ from 4 years ago every time they practice, beat the big east champs West Virginia, beat Tennessee, beat the crap out of Ole Miss, beat the crap out of Arkansas, and get to play Georgia for the SEC championship.

That means Les Miles in this season if we beat Georgia, will have beaten Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, Alabama, Arkansas, Oregon, West Virginia, Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Mississippi State. If you would have told me 12 years ago this would happen, I would say you are smoking crack rocks. This game means alot to me, and I'm positive it means alot to the players and coaching staff.

Last 2 NC's we lost 1 game and 2 games. We have a chance at PERFECTION this year and our team needs to grasp it. Not for us but for themselves. I want the record book to state 2011 LSU SEC Champions and National Champions.

Oh same here. It's not that it doesn't mean a lot it's just that I'm having a hard time getting excited compared to looking forward to the NCG.

As for the first part of your post. I understand the accomplishments speaking to the program(s) to a degree. I also know I'm in the minority on this but I'm not one of those, "we beat last years National Champion" unless we beat them THAT year. Often National Champions lose A LOT of their junior/senior laden team and it's a far cry the year after. LSU, next year, will be an exception.
