It's perceived to be a problem because CLM is being proactive in it. He does random testing in and out of season and doesn't cover it up. What I'm saying is, the reason you hear so much about weed on the team is that he is doing something about it.
Which even then speaks volumes, when you think about it. On a positive note, it's Clemson. You may not notice he's gone.
I was thinking the same thing, but not having a good punter can cost you. Wasn't there a Big 12 team a few years back that had such a high powered offense that they didn't have a designated punter on the roster? If I am remembering correctly that wound up biting them in the ass in a pivotal game toward the end of the season or in a bowl game.
You know as well as I do that Dabo the Alabama fanatic is itchin to destroy LSU. Especially after the way WVU whipped his baptist ass last year. His career hangs in the balance as a head coach.
Brad (chicken-)Wing wasn't all that flashy in 2012. And sooner or later, we're gonna have to get the new kickers playing anyway. So, this can be a good thing... get the new guy some experience before the next season even starts. I'm cool with this.
No LSU is going to do what LSU wants to do. It's the LSU way. They play to win as and for LSU, all that SEC crap is for the other nuthugging teams in the league. LSU, Bama and Florida usually take care of making themselves look good, they don't need Ole Miss, Vandy and the like to win so they can be justified as legitimate badasses.
IF it mattered. He's not Baptist anyway. Any coach playing LSU in a bowl game should be itching for a win. Any coach playing any team... His job certainly isn't weighing in the balance of this ball game. Things learned today: Baptist is an insult?
They can change the rules. Pot is harmless. Maybe now that it happened to a white guy and Les' favorite and most effective offensive position (sadly) they will think about changing this stupid rule.
