Yep refs bailed them out. If I recall the blocking back was some guy named MARCUS ALLEN. Back then before they remodeled visiting dressing rooms the opposing players would be right by you before they went out for pregame. Their tailback Charles White walked right by us and we heard him say 'Soon be time.' Since that game my now late brother and me would look at each other right before an LSU kickoff and say 'Soon be time.' Those memories last forever. That's what college football is all about.

So many memories. I'm not sure if this is true, but I heard USC went to work out in Tiger Stadium that Friday. When they drove up fans showed up surrounded bus and started rocking it. USC couldn't get out of bus. Their coach John Robinson told driver to get the hell out of there. Someone said that's how USC started tradition of rocking bus upon arrival at away games.

I went to grad school with a guy that played linebacker for University of Arizona. He had a big picture of Marcus Allen doing a Fournette on him. Brutal

Don't make me post the video. The facemask was real.

Marcus did indeed block for White. Jeff Fisher and Dennis Smith were also on the defensive side.
Not true....embellished. There were several thousand fans but also a police escort who kept the fans back.

"There was a guy yelling right in my face and carrying a full fifth of liquor in his hand, " Lott said. "I couldn't believe it. That was a first for me. Not just a glass now -- I'd seen that -- but a full fifth bottle."

Former USC Coach John Robinson, now retired in Arizona, did his best to downplay the scene.

"Well, at first they wouldn't let us off the bus, " he conceded. "But most of the guys who play for SC tend to be a pretty confident bunch generally, and they were laughing. Although you definitely knew you were in a hostile environment."

Lots of stories but great game and yes the facemask was a phantom call. Cali home cookin' Bayou style.

I remember Munoz on sideline . He had torn his knee that season.

I don't go to the games anymore. Mostly because it's too hard to watch the game. I enjoy watching it on my big screen, close to the kitchen, and outside on the smaller screen when we're "backyard tailgating" hehe
But sometimes I miss the atmosphere. Had a lot of fun at TS in years past!

I love going to the games but it's a four hour drive and it's getting expensive with tickets, food, hotel, etc. Stayed 'til the final play Sat night, arrived home at 3:40 am and was at work at 6:30 am. When I get a chance to see a game, I'm staying for the whole thing.

    Not.

The 7 second mark....the 2nd defender to come into contact with McDonald. You can clearly see the defender's hand grab his grill and McDonald's head jerks to the left.

Yes but the Trojan left guard stood up before the snap. Play should have been called dead before any face mask.
